Swami Sri Ragavendra Theerthar
Sri Ragavendra Swami, the well known saint of Mantralayam, was born in Bhuvanagiri, a village in Tamilnadu. Sri Ragavendra Swami was initiated into sanyasa by his guru and was vested to spread the greatness of Hari Bhakthi to this people of kaliyuga. Sri Ragavendra Swami worshipped Lord Rama and was an ardent devotee of Lord Lakshmi Narasimha, Sri Ragavendra Swami, who had pratyaksha darshana of his upasana devathas,had spread the marga of dvaitha and Hari Bhakthi. Known to many as a great sage of Madhva tradition, Sri Ragavendra Swami revived the greatness of Yadhi sampradhaya by his austerity. His penance and austerity as a sage graced every one around and was called Yadhi Rajar by one and all. Sri Ragavendra Swami was benevolent to all and granted the wishes of the needy immediately. His devotees were graced by his presence.
Sri Ragavendra Swami took to Jeeva Samadhi in Mantralayam. He lives in the Moola Brindavanam of Mantralayam as a Kalpavriksha granting the wishes of his devotees. Sri Ragavendra Swami, an omniscient swarupa guides every one who sincerely pray to him. He lives anywhere and everywhere. People of his age, realized him as the incarnation of Bhaktha Prahalada, who was a great devotee of Lord Narayana. Sri Ragavendra Swami was born with a mission to alleviate the sufferings of mankind by the grace and greatness of Hari Bhakthi. Sri Ragavendra Swami, lived and lives for the benefit of mankind. Sri Ragavendra Swami performed numerous miracles by the grace of Moola Rama, His upasana moorthi. He blessed people by saying “Moola Ramo Vijayathe” . Lived as an a iconic sage, Sri Ragavendra Swami graced all people irrespective of caste, creed or religion. He was for everyone, be it poor or rich. Sri Ragavendra Swami though resolved to hold the Yathi rupa, is always a paramathma swarupam to many like us. He is dear and near to many of us. Called us Aabathbandava and Anadharakshaka. Sri Ragavendra Swami resides in the heart of his devotees and protects their life against all odds.
The presence of Sri Ragavendra Swami, a Mahapurusha, is felt across places. Devotees at various places feel the gracious presence of Sri Ragavendra Swami around them. Sri Ragavendra Swami is worshipped in many places across, in the form of Brindavanam. Every brindavanam is installed with the mrithika from Mantralayam. Assured by Sri Ragavendra Swami himself, He lives as the prana of Mrithika. Thus every Mrithika Brindavanam is graced by the presence of Sri Ragavendra Swami. Sri Krishna Ragavendra Mrithika Brindavanam – Establishment :
Baba Panduranga is a direct disciple of Sadhguru Shirdi Sai Baba who lives at Maraimalainagar. As a yogi, Baba Panduranga was trained and caretaken by most of the spiritual masters and sages. One of them is the well known saint of Mantralayam, Swami Ragavendra Theerthar.
In the year 2007 Sri Ragavendra Swami appeared to Baba Panduranga in a vision. He gave the mangala akshada prasadam and conveyed his wish for an establishment of Mrithika Brindavanam by the hands of Baba Panduranga. Baba Panduranga humbly agreed to the words of yathirajar.
According to Vishwamithra Nadi, Prahalada the great devotee of Lord Narayana visited Singaperumal Koil where Lord Narasimha resides. Singaperumal Koil is one of the 108 divyadesams of vainava sampradaya and is near to Maraimalainagar. Prahalada meditated on Prahalada varadhar, the presiding deity of Singaperumal koil, at a place in Maraimalainagar. This place was called as Prahaladapuri by rishis of ancient times. Prahaladapuri is along side the gracious Aapur hill. Aapur hill is the abode of Nithya Kalyana Perumal. Sri Ragavendra Swami himself identified Prahaladapuri and instructed Baba Panduranga to establish the Mrithika Brindavanam. Prahalada puri surrounded by Singaperumal Koil and Aapur hill is more blessed by the establishment of Mrithika Brindavanam.
Sri Ragavendra Swami named the Brindavanam at Prahaladapuri as “Sri Krishna Ragavendra Mrithika Brindavanam”. Sri Ragavendra Swami assured his presence at Prahaladapuri as “Sri Raja Ragavendra Swami”.
As instructed by Sri Ragavendra Swami, Baba Panduranga attends to the aaradhana of Sri Krishna Ragavendra Mrithika Brindavanam. Sri Ragavendra Swami revealed to Baba Panduranga, about the sacredness of this Brindavanam which is known as “Sukshma Yoga Peetam” in lesser known worlds.
Sri Ragavendra Swami reveals his presence to his devotees who visit Prahaladapuri. At Prahaladapuri Rayar Swami grants the wishes of his devotees who pray to him. “Sri Krishna Ragavendra Mrithika Brindavana Swarupa Sri Raja Ragavendra Swamine Namo Namaha”.
Sri Krishna Ragavendra Mrithika Brindavanam – Construction :
Baba Panduranga, after Sri Ragavendra Swami identified the place for Brindavanam, approached Sri B.V.R Krishna and his family for the construction of Sri Krishna Ragavendra Mrithika Brindavanam. Sri B.V.R Krishna and his family who are the devotees of Swami Lalithananda Saraswathy, decided to donate their own land for the purpose. Further more B.V.R Krishna family, considering the grace for establishing a Mrithika Brindavanam, wholly contributed the financial elements for the construction and completion of the Brindavanam project.
Nagam Sathya Narayanan, a close friend of B.V.R Krishna carried out the brindavanam project with utmost commitment.
The Boomi puja for Brindavanam project was performed under the holy presence of H.H. Sadhguru Harshamathaji of coimbatore and Baba Panduranga of Maraimalainagar.
Kumbabhishekam was performed by Shri Sajjangada Swami, disciple of Samartha Shridara Maharaj . He blessed the mrithika and advised Baba Panduranga to install it in the Brindavanam.
Swami Athmanandha Saraswathy of Samartha Sridhara Ashram (Bangalore) and Swami Pranavananda Saraswathy of Sri Lalitha Parameshwari Parambika Peetam (Trichy) blessed the glorious ceremony with their holy presence.
Brindavanam project was commenced on Feb 2007 and was completed duly on June 2007. The Brindavanam project was designed and constructed by Shri Mahesh Sthapathy of Datta Architects ( Asthana Stapathy of Avadhootha Datta Peetam, Mysore. ).
Sri Krishna Ragavendra Mrithika Brindavanam with Swami Ragavendra was sculpted by Srinivasa Sthapathy (Thirusakthi Sculptures, Mahabalipuram.)
Kumbabhisheka Kramam was done by Narayana Acharya of Trichy.
Mandalabishekam was performed after Kumbabhishekam and several devotees participated in the same.
By the grace of Sri Ragavendra Swami, Sri Krishna Ragavendra Mrithika Brindavanam serves as a unique place for worship, for everyone.

At Prahaladapuri, Swami Ragavendra Brindavanam is called Sri Krishna Ragavendra Mrithika Brindavanam. Sri Ragavendra Swami is in a sitting posture adjoining the front side of the Brindavanam as Sri Raja Ragavendra Swami. Mrithika along with five saligramas ( Lakshmi Narasimha – 1, Kalpavriksha – 3, Lakshmi Narayana -1) is installed in the Brindavanam. Before installing mrithika in the Brindavanam, several thousand counts of Japa was made in the mrithika. Also, Saligrama which were brought from Nepal were duly worshipped. Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swami, Sri Krishna, a Saligramam and Urchava Moorthy of Sri Ragavendra Swami decorate the Brindavanam. Aaradhana Pooja is performed here daily. Baba Panduranga takes care of all rituals of the temple.
A Peetam comprising idols of Lord Hayagriva and Anjaneya Swami was also installed. Pooja is performed as instructed by Sri Ragavendra Swami.
All major festivals concerned with the Brindavanam are done as instructed by Rayar Swami only. Nithya abisheka and Aaradhana can be witnessed by anyone without any discrimination.

Swami Lalithananda Saraswathy Meditation Hall :
As per Rayar Swamis instruction and Baba Panduranga’s direction, a meditation hall with a Yagasala was built. Sri Ragavendra Swami idol (fibre) was installed. This meditation hall was named after Swami Lalithananda Saraswathy, guru of Sri B.V.R Krishna family.
